Journal presentation: "Dangerous human-made interference with climate: a GISS modelE study" (Part 1)

Hansen et al., "Dangerous human-made interference with climate: A GISS modelE study." J. Geophys. Res., submitted.

This paper models climate from 1880 to 2100 using GISS model E, the current "gold standard" model being used by the IPCC. For 1880-2003, this is a calibration and sanity check; for 2003-2100, they run with five alternative scenarios about greenhouse gas emissions. It talks about all sorts of things, so it looks like a good introduction to climate modelling.

Next time: the rest of the paper, and predictions for the future! Crystal balls at the ready, gentlemen!
